Many entrepreneurs start their businesses because of a passion, mission, or even frustration. Most of them don’t say, I am so excited to be a salesperson now!! 😀 Often, I hear people say, I am a consultant, or I do work, and people will show up for my services. That may be true and the reality is that we are ALL salespeople every day. If you explained to your spouse why Italian food for date night tonight is the best choice, that was sales. If you convinced your kids of the value of cleaning their room, that was sales. If you have ever walked into a store overwhelmed with choices and needed help, then someone came to help you make a good decision; that was sales.
Like singing, dancing, laughing and playing, sales is natural and happen all around us. In the United States, we are in a free market economy. Our entire financial system is based on transactions and sales happening every day. There are 100s of books on sales that can help you, if you think of yourself as a salesperson. Most entrepreneurs do not. So the intention of this book is to support you in your journey that sales can be fun and playful!
